How many idols get to say “I made it” when they debut and literally. mean. that they. personally. MADE THEIR GROUP?? Chan may have played a huge part in the Stray Kids name, their logo, and their songs but the crux of the matter is that he CHOSE his members. And I don’t mean just that he picked them and made them into a group, I mean that he chose THEM, specifically, over everything else: over sleep, over his own recognition. He’s constantly hyping up his members - this is the man who BAWLED when Minho and Felix were eliminated, who simply took responsibility and wanted forgiveness when they returned, who is just constantly in the corner squealing and hugging himself while shooting fond heart eyes at his members and encouraging them 24/7. Music is indeed a universal language. I am never disappointed when Stray Kids writes music because they stay true to them, just like they said they would.
